It starts with a proof, not a machine
Nothing goes under the laser until you have approved how it will look. When a bulk order comes in, the first thing we produce is a design proof: your logo placed on the wooden ornament, the card, or the box lid, sized and positioned for the grain of the wood. You upload the logo in the form (PDF, SVG or PNG), we return the proof, and only once you sign off do we prepare the engraving files.
This step matters most on large runs. A logo that reads perfectly at screen size can lose fine detail once it is burned into oak at 40 mm wide — catching that on one proof saves it on all hundred pieces. Engraving in batches, checked piece by piece
With the proof locked, we engrave in batches. Wood is a natural material, so no two blanks are identical — the grain shifts, the tone varies slightly. That is part of the appeal, but it also means every piece gets looked at: we check the engraving depth, the contrast, and the finish on each ornament and card before it moves on. Anything that is not right is set aside and re-made, not shipped.
Running in batches keeps quality consistent across the series while letting us stage the work sensibly — the honey and chocolate are ordered fresh from our local makers to line up with the assembly date, not weeks early.
Sourcing the contents
The boxes are filled with products from local artisans, not a warehouse. The honey comes from a nearby bee farm — blossom, flavoured, pistachio, walnut, or the version with 24k gold — and the chocolate is made by hand by a local chocolatier. For a 100-piece run we confirm quantities with them early so the artisan supply keeps pace with your deadline. This is also what gives the gift its story: when a client opens the box, everything inside was made within a few kilometres of the workshop.
Assembly, packing, and delivery
Assembly is deliberately unhurried. Each box — paper with a ribbon, or the A5/A4 wooden “book-effect” box — is filled by hand: honey, chocolate, the engraved ornament, a wooden Christmas card, and any extras like 40 ml mead or a beeswax candle. Packed properly, then shipped. We deliver across the EU (Slovakia, Czechia, Hungary, Austria, Germany, Poland, Romania, Italy), and orders above €150 excl. VAT ship free.
